The winning businesses were drawn from seven sectors: consumer goods, education, agriculture, food and drink, creative, financial and professional services, digital and manufacturing.

This is a brand new award created by the Department for Business and Trade and the first-ever recipients of the Made in the UK, Sold to the World awards have been announced. As a company we are truly honoured to be recognised as a “Highly Commended” company in the Education category. These awards celebrate the exporting success and achievements of small businesses across the UK – businesses helping to grow the UK economy. There were seven winning SME’s from the previously mentioned sectors, there were such strong contenders and the wins were well deserved.

In regards to our entry, our DBT representative said “Our expert panel of judges selected winning and highly commended companies from each of the seven categories. The quality of entries we received was extremely high, and many of the shortlisted entries demonstrated excellent detail around how business growth and success is intrinsically linked to international sales.

You submitted an entry that was well-crafted and engaging, which made the selection process incredibly difficult for the judging panel. Your business has showcased fantastic global success, which we would like to highlight through promotion of our 2023 highly commended businesses”.
